Rush Limbaugh | Haiti Relief Versus Iraq Relief | Don't Support eHarmony

The Haitian crisis plays into the hands of the Obama Administration, according to Rush Limbaugh. Hmmm. So a real crisis -- one caused by nature and not by politics -- works well for Obama in the polls. Okay, so what about the entirely politically created disaster we now simply refer to as "Iraq," created by the Bush Dynasty? Would that not play well into the hands of the Bush Administration, knowing that their conservative supporters would love the tactic of the son avenging the wrongs against his Republican father? We have to consider what the US has given to Iraq government aid -- and certainly one we pay dearly for with taxes, and certainly aid we never offered to give as we all did when we picked up the phone or went online to Hope for Haiti, credit cards in hand, to attempt to ease the pain of the weak and weary.

Rush Limbaugh defends himself to a caller named April saying that he was just discouraging people from giving aid through "bureaucratic channels" rather than to the Red Cross. Perhaps you owe it to your listeners and to yourself, and even those who detest you to do a little research. The Bush/Clinton Aid for Haiti Fund will be funneling all of its proceeds to Red Cross, Oxfam, and UNICEF -- all three are non-profit organizations. Perhaps, just maybe, the thinking behind this strategy was to unite people across the aisle. "Wow, if W. is behind this, maybe I can get behind it too." or "Wow, I voted for Clinton and wished he could have been president forever -- maybe I can give a little something to ease suffering, even though it isn't happening in my backyard."

Limbaugh then goes onto to say that he used the phrase "light skinned and dark skinned blacks" because he had eluded in an earlier show that he would use the phrase to get the attention of liberals... my, what an opportune time for you, Mr. Limbaugh, to insert an inflammatory comment. It just couldn't have waited until you had something to say about a "Hollywood negro" or a "colored person" in congress, perhaps a little later on down the road after the situation in Haiti improved, even ever so slightly.

So, Rush Limbaugh continues to remain two steps ahead of Satan with his empty rhetoric, abuse of material he takes out of context to stir the pot and agitate liberals, moderates, and conservatives alike... at the worst possible time for showboating I can think of.

So here's my second plea: Rush Limbaugh, will you stop being on the radio now?

In this post I will ask all of you to show eHarmony you will not support them or allow your single family and friends to support them as long as they continue to advertise on the Rush Limbaugh show. Rush Limbaugh | Clear Channel | Premiere Radio Networks

The Rush Limbaugh show is aired on stations owned by Clear Channel and Premiere Networks.

Hmmm. That kind of sucks. For so many reasons. For one, a huge chunk of the stations owned by Clear Channel are what they refer to in their marketing and demographics material as "urban" radio stations. You know, the stations that (said in a whisper) the blacks and Mexicans listen to!

Oh my, what a station situation! So you mean to tell me that the last time I jammed out to "You can have whatever you want, Patron on ice, you want it I got, anytime you want to...." by T.I. I was actually supporting the man behind the curtain at Clear Channel's Wolfsschanze?

Well damn. So clearly none of us has had enough of blame it on the a-a-a-a-alcohol, so what do we do?!

There is a place to start while still jamming to Pokerface by Lady Gaga. One thing we can do is let Ryan Seacrest know that Clear Channel, which owns his show and the station it is broadcast on, also airs Rush Limbaugh and that Seacrest shares advertisers with Limbaugh.

The reason this will create some ripples is that Seacrest does have a heart. Albeit a ridiculously metrosexually dressed one, there is a soul in there. Seacrest was working CNN's Tweet Suite on Larry King Live's two hour special to raise money for UNICEF and the Red Cross efforts in Haiti.

Rush Limbaugh | It's all in a name

I decided not to name this blog "Crush Rush" like the FaceBook group I assembled. By using SEO methodology rather than vengeance, I will reach top rankings for Rush Limbaugh's name. It won't happen overnight, but it will happen.

So what's the end game? Why are you doing this?

Well, I believe that Rush Limbaugh is a danger to our national credibility with the rest of the world. On the international stage, Rush Limbaugh is a player not unlike Othello's Iago -- a tiny, unimportant man with too much presence and too much sway.

I am a firm believer in free speech, and there are many people who I disagree with strongly whose right to speak freely I would gladly die for. Rush Limbaugh does not fall into this category because what he thinks is weak, folds upon itself like a flan in a cupboard. The purposes of his show are: to create space where advertising can occur, for radio stations to profit from Rush's agitating commentary, and for Rush and his publishers, producers, directors, and others in his legion to gain financially.

There's nothing wrong with making a buck. There's nothing wrong with being conservative. There's nothing wrong with being Pro-Life, Christian, voting Republican, or even loving Jesus openly. There is however, something wrong with Rush. I assure you, for the right cash value, Rush would gladly become Pro-Choice or Anti-Life or even Pro-Abortion.

Bottom line: It's all about the benjamins. So what do the agitated and offended do? I am not offended by conservative viewpoints. I draw the line somewhere though, Goddamn it. When you start talking shit about the impoverished and helpless, weak and starving children, women who are watching their children and husbands die in front of them, you'll have to deal with me. And Mr. Limbaugh, just so you are aware of what you're dealing with: I am half Cuban, half Scottish, was previously married to a Jew, am currently an unwed mother living with my baby daddy and bastard child. Here's what else I am: a purebred American and a die hard humanitarian and a complete sonuvabitch to have twisting in your side.

Here's my first plea: Rush Limbaugh, will you please stop being on the radio?
